Alistar left behind
The only reason I play league is because of Alistar. He is now non existent in all games and it has been this way for years when I was playing before and still never changed since I took a break. I can confidently say I know this champion better than anyone on the US server. During some major patches in the past riot games weakened magic resist and armor while buffing ability power and attack damage. They then proceeded to get rid of clarity. That's why the majority of players only play the most powerful champions. I can understand wanting a crutch to win if that's your style, but for people like me I enjoy the underdog champions that people avoid.
Alistar is no longer a tank or support. He is just a roamer and ganker. The only effective way to play Alistar is to rush the giants belt and boots and make sure you pick flash and ghost. This allows you to come from behind turrets to set people up. Most players don't value assists though so you still get no credit even though you were single handedly responsible for your teams victory by shutting people down early game with ganks. Assists are what wins the game and kills are just used for people to drool over the score board. You get a level in lane and gank. Stay in lane to level and gank again. You don't need to rely on the jungle like most people think. I remember when jungle never even existed except for players to get a little extra gold and go back to there lane.
If riot games wants attack damage, ability power, and ranged champions to have an upper hand that's fine. I still win games with one hand tied behind my back by being careful and doing awkward builds, but I ask that you please bring back clarity and make Alistars base armor, magic resist and starting health slightly higher. For him to even attack someone he has to take burst fire from champions that are stronger in every aspect even if there not tanky champions. I somehow managed to adapt to compensate for the unbalanced aspects of league game play and always will, but this is a necessary change and I would like to see more Alistars instead of being the only one who plays him.
He's a good champion and deserves some riot love. Please tell me what you all think. Maybe if enough people see the truth riot games will fix this issue. I'm not saying it should be top priority, but it needs looking into.
