So, I love Diana, used to main her last season for jungle and now she's still a pocket pick I have when I wanna play a melee fighter/assassin at mid or jungle. But I've noticed she's never used in competitive (apart from a brief time in 2015 where she was a staple pick) and she's not even popular in SoloQ compared to stuff like Zed, Fizz, Yasuo, Ekko, LB, Ahri and other midlaners. What is the cause of that?
Very high risk and falls off into nothing if you don't snowball early. A fed Diana is strong. One that is behind just feeds rest of the game

All in, no out. This kind of champs never see competetive play unless they are clearly overtuned. If diana ever gets in a situation where she can't bruteforce her way to victory, she's done for as she has no way out.
Pro-players don't play her enough! Too many people rely on what other people play and "copy" them. This is why champions like Syndra is huge pick right now because the pros are playing her right now!
People just don't play her to know how powerful she is. Literally is broken as fuck.
cause she has attrocius pre 6 and she can be bullied easily and she is also heavily dependant on items aka if you shut her down she is garbage. On top of that her Q is easy to dodge and if you dont get your Q on someone you can't burst them outside late game. i like her too but she isnt on par with any of the midlaners atm she might be decent jungle tho i havent played her in a while.
