Let Wits End build out of Kirchael's shard?

I mean only does 30 magic damage at full stack while does 40 magic damage EVERY autoattack.
Also, Wits end is a bit more expensive (2800 gold) so it makes it a bit easier to build.
Third, Kirchael's shard no longer becomes a monopoly of items that build the same - that is,

Finally, the damage transitions well. Magic damage from the shard gives you a meaningful taste of power whilst building towards Wits End. So you can build Wits End without feeling bad that you're 2/3 in your build.
