How do you carry with Aatrox?

I tried playing Aatrox on my second account, which is in silver elo (my main is in plat elo) and I loved him. I did really well with him in lane and had a good game impact, so I started maining him on that account. After playing him more than 40 ranked games, I had only a 52% win rate with him. But I won lane all the time and had a good game impact, so I'm thinking maybe I just started sucking for no reason. I try maining Tryndamere on that same account, and I have barely ever played Trynd before. I get something ridiculous like 15 wins 3 losses with Tryndamere, which is what I would have expected since I am playing on a much lower elo than I am used to.

My problem is that I love Aatrox. But why can't I win with him? Is he just not viable at all? I feel like he is too easy to kite, after his Q he has nothing. Maybe his ult should also give movement speed I dunno. Thoughts?

i would think its because you get focused down and you cant do anything when you're dead. aatrox needs to 1v1 and brawl people. hes not such a team fight threat. ideally what aatrox wants to do is brawl an adc. his problem is getting to the adc, his jump has a fairly long cd and its range is ok at best, so he cant flank easily so it leaves him to run right through the team to do it.

After playing more Aatrox, I realise why he is unviable now. His kit doesn't work. He has one gap closer, his Q, and it is a delayed cast, which means it can easily be dodged. Every bruiser in the game that is viable that only has 1 gap closer has an instant point and click gap closer. If they have 2 gap closers, one of them can be a skillshot (i.e Jarvan 4, Vi, Lee sin). Ultimately that is why Aatrox will never be viable until he is reworked. He needs to either have 2 gap closers, or his Q needs to be pretty much instant.

I run ghost on Aatrox. Ghost and extra range on his ult goes hand in hand.
