Yasuo isn't overpowered, he's just unfun as hell to play against tbh.

Look, I hate Yasuo as much as the next person. And as a disclaimer, I'm a Riven main, so please, downvote now if you hate Riven. If you don't care, (and I hope you don't care as that is not the purpose of this thread) then carry on! Look, I know Yasuo is hard to play. I know he's pretty balanced at the moment, but I believe a few things.

His windwall isn't a windwall. It's a wall of, it doesn't matter which direction I put it, or how late I do it, as long as I have a faster reaction time then a snail, I will always reflect every ability! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tG1cL1Lw1cI Watch until 15 seconds, and you'll see this Riven main hilariously rage in a Disco Heat video. But there is some credit I can give to this Riven, if that happened to me, I'd be pretty upset.

Yasuo's windwall is all about timing, but Yasuo throws the windwall in the other direction, and automatically blocks it. And it blocks autoattacks from some champions for some strange reason, as they count as "abilities", and can block much more.

Solutions? Well, here is my Solution

I believe Yasuo's windwall shouldn't be able to block from the sides, so it feels fairer to play against. But there's one major problem I have with his windwall. Even if the ability hits, he throws it out late and it still blocks it. If theres one change I could have, it's to make his windwall channel for a very small amount of time, just enough for a skillshot to land, but not enough for a Morgana Q animation to pass through.

Obviously, there has to be some compensation. Make his windwall a shorter cooldown, so he can use it more often, and buff his Q damage slightly. It would make Yasuo slightly more enjoyable to face against, and it wouldn't hurt him since there is compensation. Thanks for reading, bye!

I sincerely hate his windwall, from a occasional draven player than looses his spinning empowered axes to his bullshit.

who isn't annoying to play against in this game? this is also completly subjective as hell.

"Yasuo isn't overpowered" -Yasuo main

Meanwhile... in reality; http://champion.gg/champion/Yasuo 51.6% win rate. 10% play rate.

I remind you , reader, that high play rate almost always (high tendency) to deflate win rate. The fact that Yasuo retains 51.6% while being a very common pick indicates that he is broken as fuck. (Ex: Thresh is consistently under 50% http://champion.gg/champion/Thresh , this has almost all to do with his constant high pick rate across the board, Lee is the same http://champion.gg/champion/LeeSin )

Yasuo is broken and needs nerfs, it's that simple.

Incredibly subjective post; In return I say we should do a bunch of changes to Lux, Eve, Twitch, Sona, etc. So I don't find them annoying. Right?

Everyone finds different things annoying in this game, I fking hate playing against Lux, but a lot of other people don't. Should we change it just because some people dislike it? No, no we shouldn't.

Theres nothing really wrong with Yasuo's kit, most of the frustration comes from the fact that most of the player base doesn't know how to play around him (He only pub stomps in lower ELOS) Due to the fact that people complain so much about the 24 second CD windwall, and do nothing during those huge windows of opportunity.

Yeah I have to agree that the wind wall concept is fine but the execution of it needs work.

Playing against Yasuo has always felt oppressive but at least in previous seasons I was able to duel him and win if I played well.

Now I don't know what's changed... was it the itemisation, the keystone masteries, the player base getting better or simply me playing worse but I honestly have no idea how to fight tank/bruiser Yasuo top as a melee anymore. His shield refresh is infuriating and I can't do any permanent damage because the moment I try to commit he has infinite dashes to get away. With grasp he is able to sustain up fairly easily and outrange me with his q pokes. His windwall effectively means I am not allowed to poke/use skill shots and finally his ulty not only refreshes his damn shield and disrupts me entirely but paired with both its low cooldown along with the ease of charging up his aoe knock up I find myself letting him dictate the entire flow of the lane.

For clarification I main Aatrox so there may lie the problem but I must insist that I did not have these problems before season 6, in previous seasons I was able to deal with him much more effectively.

If anyone knows any good tricks on fighting him, i'd love if you could help a brother out!

Because words cannot describe what ingame frustration looks like, I found the perfect video of Dyrus playing Aatrox into Yasuo

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDJl4QhnE0M

If you skip to 23:30 and watch from there, you'll see what I was trying to describe. I understand he is meant to be slippery and his frozen mallet is meant to allow him to become a little 'beefier' but I swear, that was fking painful to watch because it has happened to me before.

I don't think Yas or Riven are overpowered but GOD do I hate their guts

NotSpecialDude7/10/2016, 12:41:40 AM3 votes

Funny enough, it isn't the windwall that screws me over in match ups against yasuo. Its typically his dash and his q that screw me over. Unless your a ranged champion, yasuo has good poke that is almost impossible to avoid or predict.

I'd never say he's broken, most of the time I lane against the guy as a melee champ, I lose lane, but win games so I know he's only 'op' in the laning phase. He's just really annoying to deal with if your a melee champ.

How many times has Yasuo received nerfs since his release? No seriously, I'd like to know.

This champion was a mistake from the beginning. I remember reading the reveal and just sighing deeply in disgust.

i ban him/zed every game.

and I never regret it.

It blocks things because the wall comes out of his body, so the wall is instantaneus, It should function like an anivia wall and rise up from where you put it instead of how it works now, would solve a lot of frustration.

Like Azir.

zlumpy7/9/2016, 7:41:34 PM1 votes

I've had Leona E blocked on cast when I walk through the wall and cast it on the opposite side of windwall away from the wall. Good thing I can just walk up and punch stun him most of the time.

You do know that Riven is a counterpick for Yasuo right? If you lose to a Ya.suo that's on you. Source: I'm a Riven main.

And in this clip, that was just a terrible play. That Riven didn't just E or Q away from the tornado, then instantly rages? That's not the game's problem. Yasuo is one of the most easy to counter champions in the game. Just play Annie, Malzahar, LB, and just win.

My only problem with yasuo is when he starts to build lifesteal

Windwall can be annoying but most of the times you can bait it since it has a longass cooldown

ZT Xperimentor7/10/2016, 4:36:14 PM1 votes

Like most assassins, he only needs a single offensive item to crush most match ups; so keeping ahead of him always feels like a lost cause, since he snowballs so easily and so much.

Can't comprehend how a fucking cancer Riven player is talking

Stars Shaper7/10/2016, 4:38:22 PM1 votes

But he is also the most controllable one. He becomes on par with Zed/Fizz/Talon/etc. only if he has an Alistar or a Malphite who can get a knockup in the perfect situations.

Wanna know what it feels like to be frustrated in a matchup? Try Aurelion Sol vs Zed/Fizz/Kassa.
