Unpopular Opinion: New Akali is how assassins should be designed
Okay, the new Akali has been out for a while now, and she feels pretty good to me. (~20 games so far) A lot of people complained that her kit was clunky and poorly designed, but I think she is in a pretty good spot. However, looking on the League of Legends Wikia, I decided to check out her stat changes and I saw this:
Base armor reduced to 23 from 31.38. **Base health reduced to 550 from 593. **
And any of you who have played her recently should know, she is REALLY easy to kill outside of her shroud. One of the biggest things I've always disliked about assassins (being an assassin player myself) is how easy it is to get out of situations. Talon is the worst offender because of his E. His old kit used to revolve around escaping with the invisibility that his ultimate gave him, but most of the assassins have some crazy escape (Fizz Q/E, Leblanc W/R, Evelynn R, Shaco Q) with no way of countering it other than CC.
In short, the new Akali has lower resistances, less repeatable escape (her R is now on a flat CD), and the same one shot potential, but only if she gets an early kill.
