Can someone please tell me what mages have been made viable in the jungle by Talisman?

Other than Brand, the only champs I can think of are Veigar, Lissandra, Lux, Vel'Koz and Anivia. I'm currently testing them in customs

Lissandra is BAD, but maybe it's because I didn't have a leash in customs and went Krugs instead of Gromp. She seriously lacks in early game wave clear so I don't think she can survive in the jungle at all Anivia is pretty good if you can get a leash for red. Wall off the jungle monsters and you've practically made yourself invincible for half the time you've spent clearing a camp. Tried Veigar... Don't. Not much AP, last hitting with Q is a pain. Haven't tried Vel'Koz Don't have Lux

Then there's supports, which I won't bother talking about because they're a pain to play in customs where you can't buff anyone in a gank.

O WAIT, Malz is a pretty good jungler too!

the problem with most mages in the jungle is their abnormally low health/armor, you need a lot of runes just to get through your first and second clears, after that you have no real mobility so its difficult to gank often. RIP invades.

overall its super difficult to live, and super easy to fall behind, become irrelevant, and then you're just feeding at that point. its a handicap for your team for having picked such a squishy jungler.

i tried pre 5.4 veigar, it was very hit or miss, i was either snowballing or i just didn't have the raw AP to clear effectivley, and i was taking way to much damage from camps.

theres just no way talisman can possibly benefit an ap jungler, they dont need the mana, they aren't OOM, they need clear speed, desperately. they need mechanisms to regain health and increase their early damage against minions. which just doesn't exist.

20 magic damage over 5 seconds. so ill gain 20 health back over 5 seconds, great, let me just ask the minions to deal less than 50~70damage per auto.

A friend of mine actually jungled with Lissandra. He needed a really heavy leash and pre 6 ganks sucked. Post 6 ganks were apparently awesome.

What about...Annie?

Lux tests with standard ap rune page:

18/12/0 Couldn't solo gromp starting E. Solo'd gromp starting W, only had 130 health left. Would be forced to back after a single buff.

18/0/12 Had 175 health left starting W. I was able to kill both of the baby wolves as well, but couldn't kite the big wolf in time for my w to come up. It was close though. Probably viable if you're a die hard lux main.

Try 18/6/6 to get all the jungler masteries

And it's important to get a leash for red first thing for mage junglers

Start raptors or wolves if you start E,

start Q against buffs and Krugs, possibly wolves

Start W if you're getting a good leash

Even Fiddlesticks is sketchy. I think the mana regen from Hunter's Talisman is actually less than the old Hunter's Machete. Before, I never ran out of anything as jungle Fiddlesticks. Now, even with blue buff, I have to wait before wolves, raptors and red buff for my mana to regen, so I can keep clearing.

Okay I tried Malzahar, he's actually really good great. I managed to play him and get gromp first level without a leash, and still had a LOT of health left

Start Q, E or W depending on the situation:

If you think you'll get a bad leash, or no leash at all, you have to take W. If you think you'll get an early invade, take Q If you think you'll get a bad leash, or no leash at all, and you'll get an early invade, good luck. Maybe E, but who the hell survives an invade alone if they're up against a champ they think will invade (implying that champion is good at invading therefore good at 1v1 at the very least, or will outnumber you.) Take E if you have a perfect tank leash and no invades will happen.

You have to predict it from as early as the loading screen. Don't bother choosing between gromp and krug, choose the one that'll give you the best leash. Preferably, beg for a leash for blue or red instead of gromp or krugs.

E is a targeted ability so you'll need to back on your first monster camp if you take it without a tank leash, putting you behind.

From the spawn, immediately take the ability you predicted you'll need if it's Q or W, and spam it 0-3 times in spawn, then open your shop and buy Talisman and potions. Don't waste any time. This should take you 27 or 42 seconds in spawn at most, depending on whether you take Q or W first. When you get to your camp, cast 1-2 abilities, to summon your voidling, if your leash wants you to tank. Avoid summoning if you have a tank leash. You can have no leash like Shaco for gromp and stuff but it's kinda risky for red buff and blue buff, but still possible to leave with enough health for a few more camps.

From there, it's almost like Warwick in ganks: Don't gank until 6. Then you get a point and click instant suppression that's long ranged, and your ganks are gold. You can pop into lanes and harass the enemy laner a bit since you're a Mage and will probably come across times when all your camps are cleared (no joke, I wait 10~ more seconds for raptors to respawn by the time I get both buffs, gromp, wolves, and krugs) and counter jungling seems too scary.

Your skill order after first camp is dependant on your playstyle. R > W > E > Q if you like farming jungle R > E > W > Q if you like farming lane R > Q > W > E if you like ganking top lane R > E > Q > W if you like ganking mid lane R > Q > E > W if you like ganking bot lane

Take Chilling smite + RoA + Liandries + Rylai's + Whatever boots with alacrity + Cinderhulk + Rabadon's/Abyssal/Warmog's/whatever

Don't bother with Warrior unless you're not following this build and going AD Malzahar, and don't go Runeglaive, you might as well just use lich and because Cinderhulk's HP boost goes amazing with your HP-AP items and you don't need the extra mana and clears. It then all goes together as either a tank, tank shredder, or assassin depending on your last item.

Tailsman doesn't help Veigar out in the jungle, for jungle Veigar to work you need a hard leash at blue to get a good enough clear with Q + W to get enough gold for your jungle upgrade. I don't think it's worth trying though, the base dmg nerfs to Q and W made jungling more difficult than it should be.

I tried, he rarely runs out of mana with talisman, but his problems lie in last hitting with Q, like you said.
