Late game damage should be the same if not a little better, since they increased his AD per level and also added ad scaling to certain abilities, you can still get massive shields it just relies on hitting champions now instead of spamming it on minions and having full shielding 24/7 and i don't see an issue with that.
Q how have a per hit damage amp, like a massive one, heres the spell "Each does 2x-3x the last, increasing with spell rank (e.g., if the first hit deals 100 damage, the third deals 900)." this has the potential to hit like a truck and someone everyone overlooks which is silly.
Now has a heal for teamfights that also hurts enemy champions increasing survivability, gains full xp no matter who is near him, large armor and hp based buffs which means the faster he levels the more advantage he gains in a solo lane. Improved attack frame so he can actually last hit minions and champions.
Now for the last buff, the ghost now lasts longer, as in massively way longer which increases pushing potential and play making abilities.
also lets look at the hp loss, he loses 30 base hp, but due to the hp per level increase he surpasses original base hp at level 5 and continues to gain more hp and hp regen per level afterwards.
In short this new mord gets stronger the more levels he gains and is heavily rewarded for landing his abilities on multiple champions, hitting 1 with E gives 15% of your total shield right away, 2 is 30% 3 is 45%, 4 is 60% and 5 is 75% total shielding, on a 6 second cd ability without CDR so maintaining shield is not an issue especially in team fights.
It is going to be quite hard for him to his all three Q's on enemies since he is so easily kited.
The heal that also hurts enemies forces Mord to be on top of ally with the shield for any damage to be done. Not that big of a deal but it is just more situational now. Apparently the attack frame feels much clunkier. I will have some time today to get on pbe to try it out.
His ghost, while getting a buff in the time it can be alive, got a nerf on the damage it/Mord himself gets. So the ghost is weaker than live.
Most people here are missing the biggest issue: Mords' early game is already abysmal and the changes make it worse. He is now forced into a dual lane for him to use his full kit. The lane that he will be forced into is dominated by ranged ADC's, and it will be extremely easy to poke him out of lane. So for him to be even somewhat relevant, he needs to get fed/not die in lane. That is going to be very difficult to do, as stated above, he will get poked out of lane very easily.
