No swaps. Just how the match was made... am I missing something? Or is the "rank by position" source code at "Riot-wishing-they-had-a-fucking-software-engineer" missing something...?
What a pathetic level of incompetence in that area... you'd think a gaming company... ah never mind.
While we're still at the beginning of the season, their matchmaking has never really been great.
A few things could have happened.
The current Silver 2 could be on a high winning streak inflating their MMR to that of gold 2.
The gold 2 may be on a losing streak, and decreased their MMR to somewhere around gold 3-4, so it would be out of the norm to see the odd high silver join.
But overall the beginning of the season has everyone out of whack until placements etc are complete. I know during my placements I had bronze 1- plat 3, and im G3 currently.
I'm pretty sure you can always play a game with a duo that is I believe... up to 2 tiers above you? So that Gold is probably duo'd with a silver/bronze player, my best explanation.
