Can somebody tell me? Either the matchmaking system doesn't work (as in: it doesn't create evenly matched teams), OR the actual rank means nothing... so which is it?
Why am I asking? Because every game, I get a random mix of folks, usually 8 x Silver II - I, and 2 x Gold II... and BOTH of the Gold II are on one team... why is that? Did your engineers maybe confuse some formulas?
The system is garbage without a visible numeric representation of rating.
As long as it's black boxed, it will continue to be a confusing and disappointing system that doesn't belong in a "competitive" game.
I think the concept behind the ranked system isn't that bad.
But matching is completely broken. Divisions basically mean nothing since you are matched with everyone from the same tier.
I am Gold 2 I played with Plat 2 .... sometimes I play with Silvers and when I was gold 3 even unrankeds. the system is terrible
The thing is that you (as a lone player) are worth 1/10 of the match outcome.
Which means your rank is just the the rank of teams you get put to play with and against, it has little to do with your improvements.
the ranks that you are shown has never meant to be nothing more than eye candy while being just a very rough estimation of where you are in the ladder
Idk if anything is wrong with the matchmaking but recently I played a game of Kayn jungle and the enemy team had a plat5 top laner while I’m in s2 it’s either I’m just that good or the plat5 is just that bad. He just got demoted a few days ago to g1 but don’t get me wrong I enjoy playing against people that are higher elo than me I see it as a chance of me being able to learn from how they play
Trying queing as a higher support.
I get a silver or gold adc with me. Then mid/top/jungle is silver or gold going against a plat or diamond.
Its bs. Cause there is a 80% chance it will place a higher rank against my lower rank in a carry spot. A plat or diamond adc with a silver support will crap on a silver adc with a plat or diamond support. I can't save from playing like a monkey. What you won bot now deal that with 12/0/0 
that crapped all over your silver top while being plat.
This is why I can't play ranked anymore. I feel like nothing I do will add to my team unless I play a dang mage and try to hard carry from bot.... This is the life of a support in ranked. I WISH LCS WAS CLOSE TO SOLO PLAY. But one is fun group play the other is 30% trolls/afks, 70% which higher rank gets a lower rank enemy.
Provide an example of such matches. You don't usually play with g2 when you're s2.
i am lvl 20 and the enemies are friking lvl 160
