I have negative votes because there are a group of people known as fanboys that follow me around like grounds keepers continually downvoting me and trying to argue with me without any success, and they think I care about their lame down votes or popularity, but I don't giva.
I am here because I am mad at how trash the game has become, and I hate a lot of the attitudes that perpetuate the dumb cycle of people trying to tattle tale on each other and then complain about the very thing they don't like which is being exacerbated by the reporting system and chat system that Riot put in place.
I have a thread about Fanboyism.
I have several threads about Riot, MMR, and the ToU, and suspensions. I hate it all, so the diehard fanboys of the game make me their sworn enemy instead of trying to make the game they love so much get better by holding the developers feet to the fire.
I don't think we can hold anyones feet to the fire, and threatening that doesn't really help. Like you, I want to see the game improve, which it has been doing for the most part. Yet there are some pretty glaring issues atm.
The foremost for me is matchmaking and game discipline. Its starting to become a rising issue of importance lately. The games are so mismatched and troll/inexperience filled, its becoming terrible to play.
Riot will hold its own feet to the fire if its game quality fails, which in turn will decline the playerbase and eventually the lcs. The lcs is their main driving force. I don't think its that they don't care, its in their best interest to care. I also don't think the game is shit in and of itself. Metas change and what not, right now its in a state of massive flux due to massive recent changes to the game. Personally I like the changes and feel as though they are big, bold moves. From an overall point of view.
The game is stable, stable enough for their main purpose. Their vested interest isn't in quality games at the moment. I think its just an issue of losing sight of the bottom, and making sure you keep track of the base that enabled you to become what you are in the first place. Its easy to lose sight of that once you become big. Yet if you do, your roots will fail and eventually it will spread to the head.
