When can we expect Warwick's rework, and how it will be...?

Of course such info would be classified to us players, but... as a Warwick player I can't help but ask.

I'm a player who seeks to play LoL champions in a totally different way than other people, perhaps could even say that is the only joy of my LoL game plays.

In short, one of my main is AP Warwick mid. I abandoned Warwick since few weeks ago when I found out next remake is gonna be Warwick for sure, because I thought I was sure RIOT wouldn't preserve the possibilities of AP Warwick anymore so I better forget him quick and carry on with new champs&play styles (currently it became AP Nasus mid).

But as I kept on playing, I can't stop thinking how much I loved Warwick. If there is any hope AP Warwick (have to note that I played him as a assassin-early and tanky-late game style) is still possible, I would love to get back to him and start playing him again.

ANY mention about new Warwick's AP scaling and physical/magic damage classification would be thankful.

My top reason for AP warwick (things I hope stays the same) was -

  1. High "instant - and - targeting" burst "magic" damage on his Q

  2. "Instant spell vamp" on his Q

  3. "5 on -hits" on his "targeting" ult that is "magic" damage

  4. His E which was almost essential in Warwick's play style (I'm guessing this will stay almost the same in his remake)

That's pretty much about it. Thanks

You do know that CertainlyT is heading the rework?

I heard, but since I am not that interested in specific names in RIOT I don't really know what that means. Only thing I know is that he reworked Ryze. + I don't really know about new Ryze. Isn't Ryze super strong right now?

As far as I know, he wasn't leading the Ryze rework. But CertainlyT is behind one of the most hated champions in the game, my main Yasuo. He is also responsible for Kalista, Darius, and Thresh. Zyra is pretty much the only one among the champions he designed that hasn't mongered as much hate as the other four have on a constant basis and/or at a time when they were ridiculous.

Ah, thanks for the info. Hmm... I'm not sure about how it was back when they were released, but kalista + thresh looks pretty good right now. Yasuo personally think is pretty good too. But I hope new Warwick does not get that much spotlight like those champions... those are too mainstream. I wish Warwick stays a non-main stream champion.

hmmm...I predict:

  1. his passive and his blood scent will be swapped around. Meaning He will always detect low HP enemies and that increases range with his level instead of rank. His Lifesteal would be his new E, a passive/activate, allowing him maybe additional attack speed etc.

  2. He will probably need more mobility, and drop on all fours and chase idea, like Volibear, but auto bitting them with his Q instead of flip over.

  3. His ult would remain i suppose, maybe lower cooldown if it kills an enemy.

  4. W - fear? i never liked the attack speed thing, maybe enemies have reduced damage or increased damage received. but also too much like Volibear.

what would you like to see?

RIOT style Rework

Passive Enemies below 40/50/60% health leaves blood trail that fades over 4 seconds. If Warwick follows the blood trail he slowly gains movement speed up to 30~50% over 2 seconds. Nearby allies gain half the movement speed bonus.

Q Next auto attack becomes a biting attack, dealing physical damage and healing Warwick depending on the target's missing health. Killing the enemy refreshes cooldown.

W Short dashing ability, swipes his arms around at the end of the dash dealing max health % magic damage. If only one enemy is hit by this ability, he/she is feared for 1 second.

E Passive: As Warwick moves around the map without attacking, he slowly gains bonus magic damage on his next on-hit. The charging time is reduced significantly when Warwick is on blood trail.

On use: Howls at the moon, slowing nearby enemies who are bleeding. Gains a little armor+magic resistance depending on the number of bleeding enemies.

R Stays the same.

MY style Rework

Passive Additional magic damage on his auto attack depending on his missing health. Slowly gains up to full damage if warwick stays in battle for long time.

Q Deals magic damage, marks the enemy as Prey. Q against Prey deals a bit more dmaage, and dealing damage against Prey heals Warwick.

W Next auto attack becomes a biting attack, deals magic damage and leaves grievous wound. Against prey enemies Warwick also steals their armor/magic resistance a little.

E Passive: sense enemies below 50% health, gains up to 25% movement speed but no visions are shared.

Active: For next few seconds visions are now shared and movement speed bonus is doubled. When chasing a Prey enemy Warwick gains 30% slow resistance.

R Passive: gains 20/40/60% attack speed when near a Prey enemy On Use: Stays the same.

Key Points in MY style reworks:

  1. Still have a "burst" kind of damage in a combo style.
  2. More suited for (or, ALSO suited for) laning and not just in jungle.
  3. MAGIC damage output.

P.S. After I finish writing, I looked at my style rework and the skill sets are kinda boring. Well, it was just a quick brainstorming, so.... (I mean even i could agree that RIOT style rework I put above looks more fun...) + ONLY reason why I don't like about that RIOT style rework is that it is heavily jungle-based. I want him to lane.
