@Riot Regarding the new item and DFG...

I'm not gonna try to spell the name of the item, it's 4:15a and I really don't feel like it, so from now on it's called "assassin blade" in this thread.

Okay, so on to the actual post, why did this item make it in to the live game at all? There are numerous complaints about it on boards right now, there were numerous complaints about it on the boards during the PBE test of it. Why don't you ever listen to the general population, even YOUTUBERS, as in HIGH RANKED YOUTUBERS, have expressed how broken it is.

Lastly, if the complaints of the users aren't enough, at least tell me this...

DFG was removed from the game for being way too powerful, right? DFG is WEAKER than the assassin blade, significantly, especially since AP doesn't directly transfer into autos. DFG gave 120 AP, 10% CDR, and a unique active which I'll put the contents of later in the post to not clutter. The assassin blade gives 75AD, 5% Move Speed, 10 Armor Pen, and 25% of the target's missing health after 2 seconds (and cooldown is refunded if something kills them before it goes off).

DFG costed 3100. The assassin blade costs 3250. DFG is 94.4% gold efficient, not including the active. The assassin blade is 99.15% gold efficient, not including the passive (which is better than dfg active).

Factor in that AD is inherently better than AP (since it is more readily used, especially on champs with longer cooldowns) and the assassin blade is significantly stronger than DFG. And while yes, without the AD item reworks, the assassin blade is slightly worse, the fact that both CDR AND Armor Pen are EASILY accessible now and nearly every AD building champion gets at least a bit of both, it's significantly stronger.

So Riot, why are you so biased, and why did you allow this item to get through when you removed the exact same item (except an AP version) for being overpowered?

DFG Active: > Unique: Deals 15% of target champion's maximum health in magic damage and applies the debuff, Doom. Doom amplifies all magic damage that champion takes by 20% for 4 seconds. 90 second cooldown (750 range).

Duskblade hard to spell?

Its funny because Riot states that they had to overload assassins kits from a numbers perspective to compensate for them not really having their own items, but intend to balance them around having their own set of items, since previously they only just bought whatever was best stat wise from everyone elses classes (if you want to call them that?)

Wouldn't this also mirror the DFG situation where they chose to remove the item because they DIDN'T want to balance around people having it?

On a side note, I'd be less upset (and I use that term loosely) if they had rolled out all the other assassin items at once, since as it stands now we'll need multiple rebalances each time one of their new items come out; depending on if its too weak or too strong.

I honestly don't understand the item. It looks like it should fall off, by mid-late game an assassin would be one-shotting squishies already with a different item, so why even bother with it when you could get another item that helped you kill just as easily but gave some other useful Passive/Active? Seriously, someone shed some light on this for me.
