I just feel like he's a very cancerous champion to play against, and he's usually feast or famine. Either he gets fed and snowballs, or he falls way behind and is useless.

Mainly because he's an assassin who relies on insane auto hitting spaz outs that lets him lean to that Fighter secondary. Plus his W is a fun fight interrupter by taking significantly reduced damage and healing over time, making it a good way to delay for another Q or force an opponent to either walk away and let him free heal, or try and mow thru that damage reduction and heal and he can rejump start the fight whenever you want and likely win the trade.
Reason i like'm because even if he seems 'scummie' its in the right way of Scummie because his kit is strong, can be countered, but still strong and simple. Not just plain destroys everything just from a few items, Instead having a kit that lets him be flexible for his style (Tank Yi, Full on Atk speed blast Yi, etc), making it fun to have that option to not have some one kit destroys all setup.
