Ranked games are based on luck?

So i have been playing a few games recently and losing every single one of them. Now this isnt a result of tilt, because i have been playing good despite the losses. However, over a span of 6 games i encountered 3 games that just were absurd. I had a teemo support and a kindred top aswell as a 0/9 corki mid. It was insanely hard to win because 3 out of 5 of us were trolling. I played another game, loss. and literally after that, i go into another game and get a ezreal jungle and an afk zed for 15 minutes. I was not suprised. After that game, i had a jinx who was 0/7 and said my family should die and i should insist on killing myself. Is it just that i keep getting team mates that dont care or are they really bad? Like come on now im plat and i am trying really hard to get diamond or above this season. It seems to me that most of my games i get people that troll or dont want to win the game at all. So what i have to do is to get lucky enough where team mates actually want to win and do good? This should not be the case. They should implement a system or something to decrease LP you lose because of all these trolls. I know it might be abusable, but i think there is an oppurtunity to make something that will totally change the way ranked will be played.

To a certain extent.

That said: none of the problems you listed are specific to your own team, your opponent's are just as likely to have to put up with those shenanigans as you.

Or technically * they're more likely* to happen to your opponents if you control for yourself and decide not to do those things, as matchmaking placing random people together leaves 4 slots on your team and 5 slots on your opponent's team such players will fall into.

Also: a 50/50 chance of winning or loosing based on chance is 1/2 chance of getting boned in 1 game. Getting fleeced twice in a row is a 1/4 chance, then 1/8 for 3 times in a row, 1/16 for 4 times, 1/32 for five...

At a certain point you need to look at yourself when you're having a rough climb and consider what you can improve.

For myself: it's an awful lot of basic stuff I need to work on, if you're aiming for Diamond it's probably a lot of more nuanced and subtle stuff you really need to pay attention to.

But the odds are actually in your favor to win more than 50% of your games concerning AFKs, Trolls, and otherwise bad players simply existing in your games.

You are a higher rank than me, so this could be due to it being silver 2. What I have learned from going from bronze 1 to silver 2 in about a week and a half is- every second and decision on your part counts. Because there are outside factors that you cannot control. Playing to the best of your ability in every game will net you more wins than losses. Its all about what you have done that gives you your rank at the end of a season. I think of it as your contribution (X) times the amount of games you've played (Y), so X*Y=your rank. I wouldn't put the factors of feeders, bad games, and afks into your equation. Its just another denominator that everyone has to deal with their own way. Just keep doing your best, and playing to improve. Maybe you'll get diamond or challenger this season.

Toxic players may get put with other toxic players, I can only tell you to have a positive outlook and attitude and hopefully the morons of league drop dead. Also I really want riot to add a ban feature to kick off meta jackasses. "oh lordy that wont happen it will be abused and i wont be able to play my (champion) in mid and she does good when im not feeding."
