A better solution to fixing point loss in solo q

So, I have been playing games recently and have came to the conclusion that the rank system is just flat out bad right now. In my most recent games, i have been going against diamond 5's with plat 5's on my team and at once i had a gold 5 on my team. Its not mmr based my dudes, because this gold said "ive lost my past 10 games how am i here?" can we get less points for either having a super low elo player on our team or going against a higher rank player. Also give us less point loss depending on how we did in the game, not a static point loss.
