Poppy, The Secret Character of Demacia?

I've always really enjoyed playing as Poppy.

But for no good reason there's a dmg cap attached to Devastating Blow. How could we get RIOT to remove the dmg cap? (Veigar doesn't have one, Volibear's Frenzy Bite doesn't have one)

Also, Paragon of Demacia has such a low flat dmg&armor (35 for both) boost late game. Having an extra 35 dmg+armor late game seems very lacking for a fully leveled ability. Perhaps it could scale, even very low, with bonus AP.

I will say this, she does have extremely low and lovely CD on those abilities, you basically just get to _keep them on _with even just a little bit of extra CD attached to 1 item +runes.

I'm afraid if RIOT ever gets around to a rework for Poppy, they'll just give her a whole new kit, potentially ruining her wrecking ball playstyle. But I think there are some serious issues that should be addressed to bring her out of now non-existance, into a more capable, serious contender.

From what i have read, she is getting a new passive and ult, but keeping her E, and she will still have the "tanky when low on hp" kinda thing. I think the only reason there is a damage cap on her Q is because of her ult. She cant be peeled at all with that ult, and a Q that didnt have a cap would make things worse. I always loved Poppy, and it would be awsome if they make her viable and less toxic to the game.

Neither Veigar or Volibear have enemy%maxHP damage, and it is that damage that is capped on Poppy.

From the wiki:

The cap on the percent total health damage is capped at 55 / 110 / 165 / 220 / 275, making the minimum health on the enemy target to reach the damage cap 688 / 1375 / 2063 / 2750 / 3438. This damage cap does not include the base damage from the spell.

Beyond that, Riot has explicitly stated in the past that they DO NOT want Poppy to see any substantial competitive play until after she receives a comprehensive rework, and will nerf her if she does see play before then. And, beyond quibbles of scheduling that rework (I think champions in such a state should be moved to the front of the damned line), I agree with that position.

I appreciate the feedback! I've seen Too many "(LoL Champ of discussion) SUCKS! and their W is useless since the (I started playing 6 months ago)." kinds of feedback. And I've been hunting and posting in these parts for years. <--(Skyrim ref Olaf ) No, really, I've been playing since the Beta version ended like almost 5 years ago.

I STILL don't get why her dmg cap on Q is there. "It would do too much dmg" is not a viable defense, which is why I referred to Veigar being able to dish out such insane amounts of (even Multi-target) single nuke dmg. And Volibear's Bite potentially dealing nearly a whole last 1/3 of someone's HP bar. Also, Poppy is still just as susceptible to CC to prevent her from closing the gap even when she's picked her target with Diplomatic Immunity.

Anyway, it's good to hear that SOMETHING is at least stirring in RIOT's mind concerning Poppy, the Iron "almost" Ambassador.
