How to beat crit Yi?

Hello, I was wondering what ap mags is a good counter to critical yi? I just had a game where he was 3shotting everyone in secs even CC'ing him. Any advise from anyone who mains mid would help.

Yeah id like to know, i had a Yi who bought Frozen Mallet, with me as an immobile ADC. It was frustrating

Not really anyone who wins a honest 1v1 with him, best bet is to (if you are a mage) buy zhonyas and team fight as much as possible, full crit Yi will implode if he is locked down at all.

Crit Yi is actually the wrong build, but sure. Any Fed Yi will rip through just about anything though, regardless of build, assuming he built damage.

In terms of mages who counter him, a fair number of them do. When I say counter, I don't mean 1v1s though, or at least not fed ones, or ones who built properly. Yi is one of the best duelists in the late game, with his only weakness being CC. A crit build likely didn't build any defense so now he's prone to CC and burst. Any mage will do, given they have CC and burst. Just make sure you don't stack your burst over his meditate or miss it in his Alpha.

Most juggernauts will smash him 1v1, if they build thornmail, tabi and Randuins Omen. Said juggernauts are usually unable to stop him killing the rest of their team though, due to lack of cc.

Jax will break him like a twig 1v1 unless yi has got ahead of him.

If his teamfight is a problem, then you need an Annie, or other simple burstmage, with RELIABLE hard cc. Crit Yi is squishy as hell if he cant meditate happily in the middle of the fight.

This was not the answers I was looking for, any idiotic pos can say- just blow him up, just cc him. I didn't get one respond from a mid main on which mage is best against him. He dodges a lot skillshots if timed correctly- so then what pray?
