I was curious if anyone knows why the default Irelia splashhttps://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT6mGSBUos284hO0UFDA5-HvchMzN25h57418y2DjqoPjPl3w9h or the swain default splash with sharper eyebrows wasn't released? Instead it seems like they went with the worst artwork. As a shade artist the original splashes was way better. Also are we ever gonna get anymore chosen skins like master yi? Maybe someone could make some and post here?

Aside from having tentacle hair, Irelia has a lot of aspects in her kit that make her unhealthy when she's strong, and below garbage when they weaken her to keep from being unhealthy. She just simply needs a lot of work to be smoother and not so game breaking.

I don't think it needs to show a lot, but maybe a few homages in her VO.

I mean a Lich is in general an undead,thats really the one constant characteristic of a Lich. But Irelia still seems to be alive,yes her soul is bound to her blades,but that alone doesn't make her undead
Though I wouldn't be against integrating the whole Lich-thing into her character.

Well, one of the most accepted characteristics of liches are their immortality through binding their souls to physical objects. There's the classical lich in D&D, there's also Arthas and the Lich King's armor, and one could even argue Lord Voldemort and his Horcruxes; By this stretch, Soraka binding Irelia's soul to her swords could qualify her as a lich, albeit one who hasn't died yet.

The most basic definition of a Lich is pretty much just "undead sorceror"

GreenLore1 votesThe splash simply was never finished. They had this one part of it already done so they could use that,but the rest of the splash is simply not done yet.
And like others here already said,Irelia is on the list for a VGU,so they might not bother to finish this splash until she gets that.
