Instead it seems like they went with the worst artwork. As a shade artist the original splashes was way better. Also are we ever gonna get anymore chosen skins like master yi? Maybe someone could make some and post here?

Irelia splash is in fact new but will not be used until she gets her rework
The Irelia splash you linked was/is not finished (Even if it seems so from the small bit of it that we've seen).
The splash simply was never finished. They had this one part of it already done so they could use that,but the rest of the splash is simply not done yet.
And like others here already said,Irelia is on the list for a VGU,so they might not bother to finish this splash until she gets that.
I dont like that Irelia new spash art i would rather see the old one than this. It doesn't add anything similar to her. She doesn't even look like Irelia in the new one.
