For an actual god, he does seem a bit underwhelming
Yes, as you could have guessed - i am talking about Aurelion Sol...
I have made a post about him when he came out, praising both his concept and his kit - for being quite straight forward and interesting at the same time, and i still stand behind it. Although, after playing him for a couple of weeks i can see some major set backs in his kit.

First of all, even if this kinda sounds dumb, his kit does not full justify his appreance and lore. Maybe pointless but i feel he should hurt way more when being engaged upon.

Unfortunately, picking him feels situational. At full moment of hype, i blind locked him at ranked, feeling he is a regular jack of all trades - Viktor style, so even if i wouldn't do much, i wouldn't hurt my team either. Oh that was so wrong of me. Hate to admit it, but got raped by Lb- completely. Did kinda ok into Azir and Viktor, and managed to actually throw down some dmg- at lulu (what an accomplishment).

His spells are too slow and kinda incomplete. Yeah- now you can pull every single post in the past where i was bitching about too much mobility - and say "in your face", but this one is completely different. For the begining his q requires to literaly be in someones face for that stun and aoe dmg , sad thing - Galio does it better (even with just the slow). Next his w...god this is so hard to proprely use...i get the passive aspect - small dmg output that helps with farming, but the active needs some tweeks. Issue is - range of those oribtals is fixated and cannot be modified. What i mean to say - for what it is supposed to do, with the constant mana leaking it has a huge weakness. You cannot modifiy the range manually from small passive one to the active, but by having a fixed ring, you literaly have to constantly move around to scratch someone. Also, since chains that connect orbits don't do dmg (at least it didnt feel to me like they did), active orbits must move much faster to actually have an impact. When it comes to his E - it needs to have a blink element that does not depend on velocity. Small ranged , like corki w simply to help him reposition better and possibly set up something, while not touching his long range element. When it comes to the ult- with some of these tweaks, it is completely fine and usable.
To put it simple, nothing of this is literaly dmg related. By no means did i say, lift his dmg over 9000...even if it feels a bit smaller i am ok with it, i just suggested some of these tweaks to increase his overtime dmg input and prevent him for being a lane sitting duck for assasins and some high burst champs.
