Is "flame" and "tilt" sometimes overused ?

Yes...let us talk about aspect people hate - can "flaming" and "i am tilted" claim be highly misused ? Anyone reasonable and sane enough will say yes.

I can get the aspect of "putting every argument in same basket" , it helps Riot in making generalist rule to keep players on a leash. Is it completely justified to do it ? Far from it...Is there currently a better solution ? Seems like there isn't.

Thing is, i would like to discuss one other type of reaction. Reaction towards certain action NOT the player. It needs to be clearly separated away from flame.

Ranked by itself is stressful to a certain aspect, and even though that is not a justification for insults or constant flame towards a player - i still believe nobody can prevent you right to be highly agitated towards certain plays and responses in the game, and naturally - give your opinion about those.

I would like to set up some examples of those situations that can irritate players very hard(at least for me):

  1. Complete lack of counter response after getting ganked - This. This is probably one of the most basic and irrtating things for me. Fine, your top/mid rival roamed and killed me, no problem. Maybe i didn't ward, maybe i got greedy and stayed for a trade, but for fucks sake do not stand on a spot and freeze like he is standing next to you. Push that wave, help someone else, make him lose at least a wave, but move your ass.

  2. Setting your terms in champ select - Yeah, you had a bad previous game...maybe even five, but in what way is that my concern ? You can still behave normally to 4 new guys and reset yourself.

  3. "I am above this tier/i need to carry/ diamond smurf" - We all heard this, that one guys that takes yasuo/zed top (or similar paper thin champ), because he already sets himself way above the tier, usually ending up failing the most. Always. Always mind the composition - especially in lower elo.

  4. Leading supports - I rarely play adc role, so i am not the best guy to open this one - but supports that force a style aggitate and hit really hard. Dude, there is a reason why is it called a support. I do not care you are a jumpy leona with ignite opposing a easy soraka, if i am stacking with Ez...just let me god damn do it. Plays aren't always necessary. Ask your carry what style does he want, or if you are a carry tell your support to take it easy - you should set those terms right away.

  5. Complete lack of build diversity - Fine...you found a guide that says Vi can go devourer, you got countered, failed few ganks and are completely behind - drop your ego, drop your build and divert to tanking - you failed to set the terms, so learn to adapt. We all know that "ill tank after two dmg items speech"- usually never comes to that point.

  6. Talk with your team, at least ping on regular basis- even if they are jackasses. Ignoring ALWAYS hurts game quality.

  7. Random objectives - Push and towers before Baron and Dragons (if you are able). When very low...DO NOT force a random objective. Also, if 4 guys choose to fight - you will not take that drag and say "noob, you dont help me, why you fight" - you will offer your assistance towards majorities call.

  8. Random farming - Nobody cares if you farmed up 300 cs or 50 cs, nobody reasonable will flame you about it. It only hurts/benefits you, but learn the distinct time difference between farming and being ready to follow up. In those cases - your farmn becomes secondary.

So, i would like to say, as some sorts of conclusion that i consider these to be...not game to game situations that people randomly flame about - but should be basic game mannerism that really rightfully irritate players, and give them right to respond in some normal manner like - just stop it, pls come, we need you, can you just help, even shut up or dont attack. Yes, these are not best or most polite responses, but my point being - when it comes to these and similar aspects - that should in some way be a basic game culture and pure reason, mildly aggressive responses are justified.

Be free to comment your opinion (A normal elaboration would be nice) and write if you have some more points and situations similar to those above :)

How? Being tilted is just a mindset. There's no way in misusing it. If you're easily affected by fails you're likely to feel tilt after dieing 2 times from a jungle gank. Often communicating your feeling can even help overcome the tilt.

Ranked by itself is stressful to a certain aspect, and even though that is not a justification for insults or constant flame towards a player - i still believe nobody can prevent you right to be highly agitated towards certain plays and responses in the game, and naturally - give your opinion about those.

Nope. You have absolutely no rights at all ingame. Your account isn't even yours. Either you behave to Riots expectations, or you get punished. This may include the privilege of playing league is taken away from you.

  1. Complete lack of counter response after getting ganked - This. This is probably one of the most basic and irrtating things for me. Fine, your top/mid rival roamed and killed me, no problem. How to become a better player rule 1: Take full responsibility of your mistakes, and stop looking for other players mistakes. You cannot teach them to play better, and arguing will only distract, or "irritate" them and make them play even worse. Admitting that it's partly your fault is a good step forward, but them blaming your mate for not moving is 3 steps back.

  1. Setting your terms in champ select - Yeah, you had a bad previous game...maybe even five, but in what way is that my concern ? You can still behave normally to 4 new guys and reset yourself.

The best bet in these cases is to dodge, since you're in CS with a player that's obviously not following rule 1.

  1. "I am above this tier/i need to carry/ diamond smurf" - We all heard this, that one guys that takes yasuo/zed top (or similar paper thin champ), because he already sets himself way above the tier, usually ending up failing the most. Always. Always mind the composition - especially in lower elo.

Team comps in soloqueue don't mean dick. Stop valueing them so highly. As for "I'm a smurf", a good rule of thumb is that people who claim to smurf actually aren't smurfs at all. Besides, what difference does it make if someone's smurfing? We have teambuilder now. They don't get mid from claiming stuff like that anymore. Just ignore those guys and don't ever question someone's pick.

  1. If there's an opportunity it doesn't matter what "terms you did set". The support and the ADC are their own person. If they want to win they will follow each other's actions. A support leading a play is perfectly fine. They aren't slaves only there to follow their master's lead.

  1. Complete lack of build diversity - Fine...you found a guide that says Vi can go devourer, you got countered, failed few ganks and are completely behind - drop your ego, drop your build and divert to tanking - you failed to set the terms, so learn to adapt. Let people build what they want. As mentioned above, you cannot teach them how to play. Also rule 1 again.

  1. Talk with your team, at least ping on regular basis- even if they are jackasses. Ignoring ALWAYS hurts game quality.

This is just not true. If your team is made of whiny pussies, you should absolutely mute them so you can better focus on your own game. You can still communicate with pings. Whatever you do just DON'T ARGUE EVER. If someone tries to start an argument, immediately mute them. They will just distract you. There's no reason to ever pay attention to these people.

  1. Random objectives - Push and towers before Baron and Dragons (if you are able). When very low...DO NOT force a random objective. Also, if 4 guys choose to fight - you will not take that drag and say "noob, you dont help me, why you fight" - you will offer your assistance towards majorities call.

This is just stupid. You should only follow the majorities call if there's any chance of success. Just because 3 guys start crying "group mid and teamfight", that doesn't mean that you actually should follow the call if your team is 10k gold behind. Think for yourself.

  1. Random farming - Nobody cares if you farmed up 300 cs or 50 cs, nobody reasonable will flame you about it. It only hurts/benefits you, but learn the distinct time difference between farming and being ready to follow up. In those cases - your farmn becomes secondary.

That's true. However you should make sure that Winions won't take your inhibitor while all of you are contesting Baron.

Riot doesn't punish for stuff like that. They only punish if you overly abuse your privilege. I also sometimes tell other players to "fuck off" or similar things, but I have never been punished for my ingame behavior. Why? Moderation. I don't mindlessly engage in arguments that distract me from playing, nor do I tell people to go and swallow to death on an AIDS filled dick or to get Super Cancer. In other words, I may use strong language from time to time but I'm not a dumb fucking asshole, so I don't get punished.
