@Riot Corki...

I think I haven't seen him in worlds so far and to be honest everytime I use him as an adc I feel like my damage is always too low, Corki has no reliable steroid and compared to Jinx, Sivir, Cait, poor Corki's laning phase is awful, farming with Corks is probably the most difficult thing amongst adcs since his range is really low and he can't spam his skills, not to mention that base MR mitigates half his damage...

Trading with Corki is the riskiest thing for the Corki player since you don't have the enhances other adcs have

against Lucian it feels like god has forsaken you against Vayne you pretty much blow up faster than what she does against Caitlyn you have the upper hand if she can't use her range effectively... if she can... cry in a corner against Jinx you take so much damage before phosphorus bomb lands that all you can do is valkyrie out and get rockets to the face against Ashe it's all randy dandy until she activates her Q and you get chunked hard against Tristana really? 15% damage extra when you have the bomb on your head... against Sivir AA reset + Q will chunk HARD and you'll be so pushed against your turret that you might as well become part of it... against MissFortune Love tap hurts and Q cancel too but honestly this one is the most fair out of all the ADCs against Ezreal Q all day errrrday, he's more mobile and can spam his skills way better against Draven his Q hurts but since it has to bounce back, by the time he can enhance his auto again his armor is 0 so, that's ok against Kalista as long as her oathsworn misses you, you'll probably win, if not... good luck

I don't think Corki should win every trade against all ADCs though, but I think the Corki player should feel like he has the tools to outplay the enemy which only happens when the package is active (and if the enemy is careless enough)

Riot, I think the package is a bit overtuned and Corki players would like a rebalance of his damage, tone down that 700% AD on his package and put it on the regular W maybe? bring his damage up to 120% (60 magic/60 phys)? Corki's laning phase in bot is a nightmare :C

Highest damage dealt this patch. He gets outscaled by the ADCs with better range, better DPS and better burst.

yes! this is true for Corki, again, because of his package, getting the most damage on every game is not particularly hard, all you need to do is hit a couple people with the AoE and you're set, I'm not saying Corki as a champion is weak, I'm saying that his laning phase is worse than Vayne's :S

And noticeably second highest damage taken; highest if you only consider bot lane ADCs (Quinn is a top laner most of the time).

These stats are only for botlane Quinn. I guess they take this damage when they dive in the enemy team. It's funny that Vayne is only 7th, not first in damage taken.

No champ is made to be the counter to everything and be left with zero counters.

you are either playing him wrong or need to play him another way.

I can agree with this, in Corki's case his counter is probably range and attack speed oriented champions.

I do think there IS something wrong with how I play Corki but in all honesty my biggest problem is farming safely, I'm not the best farming ADC there is but I think I can hold bot lane and get around 70% cs, but with Corki that number goes down HARD, it's not his auto attack, I think it's that the enemy knows that early game Corki is not a threat whatsoever.

Corki is hard. no doubt. i avoid palying him cause he needs soo much before the train start moving. honestly maybe he's not the champ for you, look into Heimerdinger or Rumble

Why you have chosen those champs to suggest for him?

CrazyBear19872 votes

Tot he wanted to play a pocky yordle XD

this pains me to read :P since Corki has been my main since Riot gifted me the UFO skin :P that was a LONG time ago xD actually, it's because of him that I play ADC in this season.

That being said his changes kinda threw me off and I abandoned him a bit but I want him back, he's the champion that I feel more comfortable with.

I think I found a good strat with him but against competent players I might still struggle, thanks for the advice though!

you mean in an upcoming patch? O.o I haven't read anything about that

Might i suggest playing him Mid instead? He does more magic damage than AD usually in the stat screen and he's really good against a lot of mid laner's, that's where i'v been playing him and it's sooooo much better than playing him ADC. I think it's kind of like how quinn transitioned to being a top laner, corki is making the transition to mid.

I do agree that his Mana costs are so oppressive but in the times he was strong, he was REALLY strong like borderline busted so maybe keep him like this with some small buffs like this patch gave him.

Hige1 votes

Well, I have played him in mid, I can't say that I have been successful in doing so though... Currently, most mages in mid have quite the range, namely Syndra and Ahri, so even there his laning can be a bit on the weak side unless of course you go against melee champions like Zed or Yasuo... He does have quite the winrate in mid though but I can't honestly pinpoint why :S

I do set my roles as ADC/mid when I queue in ranked, but I've found way more success with Varus mid than with Corks, sadly.

Now as you point out, he used to be quite strong and borderline busted, hence his nerfs, I'm not asking for buffs in any kind of way, I'd like it if his general power stayed the same but without having 80% of his power focused on his package.

I do think The package SHOULD be really strong but currently lowering it to 600% AD from 700% AD wouldn't hurt it at all, its damage would remain really high either way and theoretically there would be space to increase Corki's autos or something... my gut feeling is that regular Valkirye has too long of a cooldown and too little damage, increasing the effectiveness of this skill would go a long way.

thats why hes way better mid lane. the reason he isn't really an adc is that he doesn't have exactly a lot of sustained damage. neither his damage is easy to lane. mostly skillshots. his autos hurt but he doesn't build a lot of attack speed.

hes better mid lane as an artillery mage

Do you have any kind of advice for someone who has played Corki a lot and doesn't seem to be able to bring out his so called busted status in mid? :C

Akali is SO HOT1 votes

He got buffed after the Worlds patch that's why he's not seeing play. He's the fourth highest winrate mid laner atm.

Hige1 votes

His buffs were oriented to his scaling and he became the ADC with the highest AD per level followed only by Kalista (3.5 > 2.91) yet his problem isn't exactly his scaling, once/IF you get the ball rolling, Corki is a beast.

Now I think Riot has a term for this: feast or famine, and according to patch history, feast or famine isn't a particular good thing to have in any champion.

He is an amazing mid laner according to his numbers but I believe this is mostly his roaming potential and not so much his lane per se...

What I'm asking is for Riot to rebalance his beast late game a liiiittle bit towards his early game, just so people don't get discouraged if your turret falls and you're 1/5/1 with only 80 cs by minute 15... Corki is incredibly effective in farming big waves so his early cs doesn't matter all that much
