IP bonuses for playing less popular roles in Team Builder

Team Builder is my all time favorite solo queue game mode. But certain times of day it takes absolute ages to find a full team. Why? Cause nobody wants to bot lane. Especially support.

"Well if you want to find a game quicker, why don't you just pick support?" Because draft or blinds will always find a game faster, you have the benefit of being able to ban champs you don't wanna play against, and you have a chance to not be last pick so you can play whatever role you want to play.

The biggest flaw with team builder is the lack of a good incentive to play unpopular roles. Simple solution? Bonus IP. Doesn't have to be a huge boost, maybe 50 or 100% max, and it could scale with how in demand the current role is. This would improve queue times both by encouraging players to play high demand roles as well as encourage players who might otherwise play a different game mode.

Also personally, though I like playing support sometimes, I still believe anyone who plays it should get some sort of reward.

"I am playing xxx because I want the IP not because I desire to play the role. And I have no interest in getting better, I am just grinding IP you see."

What about a more permanent solution, properly balance the game that makes all roles equally attractive and satisfying to play so the population flow into each category almost equally?

There's actually something more than just a lack of desire to play Support going on. Statistically the ratio of players that prefer each role is surprisingly close to even. Something else is causing players to not queue up for Support in Team Builder.

It's a good idea, but maybe tie it to something like:

You only get the bonuses if your teammates honour you after the match for your performance in the role. Obviously they would be prompted to honour/rate their teammates on whether they did after the match before being able to click on the exit game option. The options would be something like: [griefing][poorly][decent][outstanding]. Where the griefing pick would be for the players that select support, but then go mid lane in game anyways (leaving the team without a support). The other options/ratings could maybe help FIX THE AWFUL MATCHMAKING in the mode. And for those unaware, the matchmaking for teambuilder is horrible, there are numerous reports on the boards about plats going against players who aren't even level 30 yet who basically stomp the game because of the titanic skill discrepancy.

I've seen this suggested (and suggested it myself) multiple times. It always gets tons of upvotes, and it's always (seemingly) ignored. Team builder needs incentives for unpopular roles, otherwise it will never be a success!!

this is something i would enjoy, as i do like to q up as a support for teambuilder most of the time im queueing up with 2 or 3 friends and sometimes we cant get full team so more incentive to play less popular roles would be awesome
