can I just please be in my series, why do I have to win one game just for 1 LP and take the risk of me losing when I could be in series! Please riot people have been complaining about this forever just give us our series!

Then people would want it at 98 LP.

Then 97.

And 96 and so on until we are all Challenger just by logging in!

Basically, there has to be a cutoff point, and that is 100. Changing that is arbitrary.

However, that doesn't mean they can't do something so your excess LP doesn't go to waste. They might give you a free win in your series if your win exceeds 120 LP or something, or passes it on to the next division if you are successful etc.
