Probably both.
Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond leagues don't really differ much when it comes to fallowing the meta, or even with the average performance of champions judging by their win rates. The #1 champion in Bronze is usually the #1, 2, or 3 champion in Diamond. So - the intentionally troll senses are pretty much the same.
That said, the strengths you listed are ~ok, although securing kills is not something you generally want to have 90 different avenues to go about doing. Marksman want the gold, and get kind of annoyed when you accidentally on purpose wind up with half the kills they participated in.
As a support - you're much better off giving the marksman the kill, as that generally means a ton of assists, especially if you can get them rolling in gold.
Anyways, you've got some explaining to do if you try pulling it.
That said - why not play an actual support? Most of them are pretty awesome at supporting, and they tend to be extremely influential champions despite having the least amount of gold and XP.
A lot of them are actually pretty frightening when they do get the same level of gold as everyone else, Lulu is OP in Treelines, Sona is OP in Abyss, and Taric is OP in Dominion. AD Alistar is actually appearing in the current tournaments as a top lanner, and Lulu and Soraka both suffocated the competition out of mid lane.
I mean - actually take a look at support kits. You might be surprised at the level of power most have jammed in there.
