Why the Orange Essence change in value?

I seriously dont understand why orange essence was changed. Blue essence I get since it was an attempt to reform how people got champions and add depth to leveling, but what does that have to do with orange essence. For an example to show you how bad it is, I have a pretty high quality skin shard: Zombie Brand, a legendary skin It costs 1520 orange essence to upgrade to perm, but it only gives 364 orange essence. Thats not even enough to upgrade safari caitlyn Can anyone please shed some light on why this change happened? I'm not trying to criticize Riot for anything cuz im more than grateful for free stuff, but I just want to know why.

Probaly to minimize all thefree stuff we are getting. Kimda sucks when alegebdary skin u want is 1500 be and a bunch of basic skin are atound 200-500 choices man, Choices

@OP, It was a sad day. I had to disenchant all my good shards like ZOMBIE BRAND among many others that I wanted to keep.

Riot said we would get MORE Skin shards, but I have not opened a single skin shard. Even if I did, it wouldn't give me OE to make anything. It might be a change to help people who buy more chests, but even those people said they are complaining.
