"Urgot is strong/op" dogma.

Before Urgot was played in LCS, everyone said Urgot was shite and only a small pocket of people understood that he was fairly strong in the right hands. Someone plays him in the LCS and wins a game and ever since then Urgot is op.

No, he isn't and hasn't been since 2011. People aren't use to seeing a decent Urgot and because their preconceived expectations were so low for Urgot, anyone having any marginal success with him is that much more of a surprise.

Like most old champions, he doesn't adapt well to the gameplay changes and the various creeps (mobility, power, ect.) and just stays stagnant albeit a yearly buff to keep him marginally relevant for long-time mains.

He's about average in the right hands and nothing more.

Wait,did he get picked recently or is still that thing of years ago (talking about LCS)? Because i'm seeing a lot of crying about Urgot,being his rework or just complaints.Because i want to main Urgot since when i discovered him and if he gets popularity it will be a problem. BTW yes,Urgot can be OP under these circumstances:

  1. Your enemy laner can't kill you with 1 combo
  2. You know how Urgot works
  3. (Optional) Your enemies don't know you.

Yesterday i had a game with a friend of mine which is,in it's original meaning, a "noob",a new player. He wanted a new top laner to play instead of garen and i told him "if you want a good toplaner,i'd say Sion is the best option". He bought it and we went in a blind pick. I was Tristana (i'm ass-level ADC,just to let you know) and he got Sion and oh my he got an Urgot as his laner. I told him "Be careful,Urgot can give you a lot of problems if played right". How it went? My Sion friend was 0/3 qith 19 CS,always under tower. Even for him,19 CS were too low. At the end of the game (i lost my lane too,so it's not his fault we lost,we all did bad) he said "Damn,Urgot is so cancerous,he never dies".

So..... I don't know why i told you all of this,maybe i just wanted to do conversation,or maybe to tell that Urgot isn't complete Shite (so isn't Aatrox,IMO no champ is actually useless,but there are less rewarding playstiles like Heim who without his turrets can't do much and doesn't really push unless his laner is away).
