Riot: Could you make turrets be less of a joke in Aram, please?

After 5 minutes they barely tickle the champions. Even squshies can tank multiple shots, if someone has armor he can ignore them almost completely. Not to mention how slowly they react to anything.

This is an issue with the turrets throughout the whole game, not just aram

On one hand, having a secure place to safely farm against a stacked team is much needed.

On the other hand, waveclearing poke comps don't need another form of safety for them to get basically free wins.

Riot hates turrets and fun soooooo... no.

Fuck no. Poke teams are already oppressive. The only hope against them in uncoordinated ARAM as a melee team is to run through the turret.

Mages in ARAM don't need more buffs :)

Turrets arent there to kill champions, theyre there to stop minions.

If that was true then they wouldn't aggro on champions when they attack other champions. Since they do, it is obvious they are there to function as protectors, even more, they prioritise protecting champions against enemy champions over attacking minions. Therefore your statement is obviously wrong.

No, im not wrong. Its a safety net and a deterrent for mindless dives, but its not supposed to stop all dives just because the tower is hitting you. At some point the game needs to transition to you protecting it, not it protecting you, else games would never end.

This explanation makes a lot of sense. I would like to see plates on the first turret in ARAM though.

I have mixed feelings on that, given some games towers tend to die too fast, but a lot of games both towers are still up 10 minutes in and getting a decisive push to break the tower is a pain.... Then when it does happen two towers and inhib just drop in one death rotation.

Im not sure if the towers themselves need to be changed, or if its just a side effect of aram and the "well, we got aced this one time and they have 2 ADCs alive rip our base gg"

They wouldn't have to be as strong as they are in the Rift, maybe just 3 plates rather than 5? That could be a good buffer methinks.

Would likely need to be more nuanced than that. Tower plating as is isnt the most optimal thing, but its the best thing you can really do without devoting so much time into it that its literally not worth it.

I agree with this. My issue isn't about dives in general. It feels like the turrets don't grant any protection, not even in early game.

Late game they are totally useless. I don't except them to oneshot the enemy but I can barely see the damage they deal to a lifebar in late game.

Why would you remove the only route to victory for 90% of the champions

Riftn00b2 votes

I don't know about a single champion that can only win if it takes 4 turret shot in early game. I won many games in aram with different champions and I never needed that.

ihateyouallmuted1 votes

depending on your team, the only way to kill the enemy is to go towards them. if you can't do that, you remove the most important win condition - advancing.
