@Riot Katarina shouldn't continue to ult a target that turns invisible or is not visible by Katarina

Katarina will continue to ult even if her target uses an invisibility move, meaning Katarina would then ult the invisible target, revealing where they are and continuing to do damage. This doesn't make sense. You should have to see your enemy to be able to ult them, shouldn't you? Thoughts or explanations?

It is a coding error in that since yes her ult is coded like morg's ult in such a way it will active it it detects a champ unit visually seen or invisible but I disagree with you in that the ult should be deactivated the ult in that it adds a bit of counter play to invisible champs

The ult doesn't have to be deactivated if there are still targets, but ultimates like Darius' stop if vision is lost.

You should not compare different types of ultimates you have to compare similar ones Katerina's ultimate is in a aoe zone while, Darius is a selected target at one. The way that they identify targets is completely different .

This is literally the same exact thing as saying MissFortune or Velkoz shouldn't be able to hit invis targets/duration should stop. That would be retarded.

No offense but this is a dumb post IMO

and LaoBUSHIDO is right, you cant compare any aoe ult to single target ult

I agree with the last part, but the thing with Kat's ult is that she requires a target nearby to even use it (Like Evelynn's Q, which requires vision to start the cast but they can go invis 1/2 way thru the cast animation and it'll still finish up.)

The thing about Kat's ult is that she starts spinning like a ballerina, throwing knives in random directions. It IS going to hit targets, even if they are invisible. IRL, if someone was invisible, they'd still get hit by a book chucked in their face, why would the same not apply here?

Sorry I don't play kat, but when she requires a target can't it be like a ward or minion to ult. Kind of like malphite ulting a pink xD

No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No.

Good God no.

Kat R specifically says that it targets the 5 nearest champions.

First off, yes it should hit invis targets.

Second, no MF and Kha both have ultimate that are skill shots. Meaning they don't fire for a specific target. So don't compare something so stupidly off.

It doesn't day that it requires vision of the target, just that it needs to be within range.

Case closed, /thread, God save the queen and all that nonsense.

HAHA ok fair enough, but I was just stating this was more similar then to the OP comparing kat ult to darius ult, at least i think they are more similar

Yah that was stupid to. Morgana is probably the best option since her chain can only break from distance not loss of vision.

This is Kat we are talking about. If I put 100 accept it as true and move along.

I guess. To be honest I don't play Katarina and it just didnt feel right, since I mostly play invis champs :P. Since Kat's isn't a skillshot and needed a target, it just made more sense to me that she needed to see the target. It really isn't too much of a difference really.

I main Kat, and first I want to tell that Ult is very good for killing Teemo. I mean, we all here love killing Teemo, right? ^_^ So it shouldn't be nerfed, it must stay as is, even if it would be unique ability. But the ability is not unique, and actually it's not rare. Some players already mention Morgana, that is not quite correct, because Morgana ult is reveal the target, rather just detect his presence.

For more examples check out http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Stealth chapter "Presence detection without reveal" So, there is a small quote

All abilities that do not require single target to cast can affect stealthed champions (but will not reveal them).

Certain abilities can only be cast if an enemy is in range of the AoE casting circle - these abilities will light up and become available to use even if the only enemy in range is a stealthed enemy.

Evelynn Evelynn's Hate Spike Katarina Katarina's Death Lotus Kennen Kennen's Electrical Surge can detect stealthed champions due to the particle effect pointing in their direction. The stealthed champion will not be revealed. Nocturne Nocturne's Duskbringer will provide semi-reveal if it lands. Though stealthed unit will still be immune to auto attacks and targeted spells, Duskbringer's trail will compromise the position of said unit for 5 seconds, even through movement. RekSai Rek'Sai's Tremor Senses will perceive the position of any moving unit, even stealthed ones. Soraka Soraka's Starcall heal animation shows if the skillshot hit a champion, whether it's invisible or not. Talon Talon's Noxian Diplomacy causes struck enemies to leave behind a trail of blood even during stealth, similarly to Nocturne's aforementioned Duskbringer. Teemo Teemo's Noxious Trap will explode but not reveal stealthed champions. Tryndamere Tryndamere's Mocking Shout Viktor Viktor's Chaos Chaos Storm will follow a stealthed target and fire it's lightning bolts at it. The stealthed champion will not be revealed. Vladimir Vladimir's Tides of Blood can detect stealthed champions due to the particle effect flying in their direction. The stealthed champion will not be revealed. Warwick Warwick's Blood Scent does not reveal stealthed champions but if they are within range and below half health, he will receive the movement speed bonus.
