Is the IP system still needed?
I mean, cmone, at the beginning, when RIOT games was young and League was making Baby steps, IP gating was a tool to make people buy Champions with RP so RIOT could use some much needed money.
But these days are past us, RIOT makes tons of money of E-Sport events and there is so much more to buy these days. Back then it was only skins, now we have Skins, Chests, Keys, Ward Skins, Summoner Icons, Rune Pages...
Do we really still need to lock of all Champions for new players?
Just to say it, I would gain nothing from this, the only Champions I dont have are those I dont want to, so for me personaly, its no difference, but for new players it would change the whole game.
Just get rid of IP and maybe bring some other stuff to buy. Minion Skins, Announcer packs, special emotes... There are so many possibilities, why gate the one thing that is actually requiered to play this game?
