is thunderlords a little overtuned?

At 1st overshadowed by the power of the ferocity tree I'm seeing the thunderlords on a lot of champions, like a lot of champion's, go on champion.gg and look at the highest win rate masteries for anyone whose not a designated right click guy, they'll probably be running 12/18/0 with thunderlords.

List of champions in alphabetical order that utilize the keystone

Ahri Annie Diana Ekko Evelynn Fizz Hecarim Karma (mid only) Kassadin Katarina Kennen Kha'zix LeBlanc Nidalee Orianna Riven Ryze Shaco Syndra Talon Twisted fate Veigar Vel'koz Viktor Zed Zilean

So actually it's a lot less then I expected, but still It's a good keystone for people who wanna kill somebody on one spell rotation, anyone else feeling the pain this keystones causing squishy's everywhere?

Disclaimer: I'm not saying it's op personally, just providing some data for the discussion, personally I think fervor is a little too general purpose (which is why it's getting nerfed next patch) and it'd seen as the keystone more then thunderlords

well you have a grand total of 2 keystone choices for AP mages. Thunderlord and Deathfire. One who is only useful for dot mages and maybe sustained ones like Vlad while the other is a bit more generalized. The ferocity tree offers very little for AP mages and all you are losing is 7 %magic pen which is useless half the time nowadays (although the flat pen on the cunning tree isn't that much better). It's not hard to see non-dot mages using thunderlord and if you don't have an AA centric kit then the ferocity tree keystones are worthless to you. Leaving you with cunning which has a support keystone, thunderlord and the "i move faster if i burst you hard enough" keystone. Thunderlord is just less situational and more generic to use for most

Technically Stormraider's Surge is also an option for AP mages that deal tons of burst damage, although that option is more "I deal tons of damage and want something else" rather than "I deal tons of damage and want more damage".

I'm honestly surprised Lux isn't on the list, considering she can proc Thunderlord's Decree it by landing one spell and an autoattack to detonate her passive.

Anyways, I've not really found it overshadowing the other options.

Warlord's Bloodlust provides sustain and a DPS instead of crit based champions. Fervor of Battle adds significant sustained damage to autoattackers (and works extremely well with Sated Devourer). Deathfire Touch provides additional damage to poke and DoTs. Stormrider's Surge lets assassins and burst mages stick to targets or escape after using their cooldowns on someone. Thunderlord's Decree adds more burst and poke. Windspeaker's Blessing helps you keep targets alive when shielding/healing them by making them more durable. Grasp of the Undying provides in-combat sustain and damage for tanks/fighters Strength of the Ages may be a bit underwhelming, but it still provides a good amount of health which works well on Cinderhulk junglers. Bond of Stone is great for utility tanks and tank supports to protect allies.

They are all quite strong and I don't really see them overshadowing one another too badly.

Me too. You know who also surprised me was akali since she could proc it really fast but stormraiders surge (the movespeed one) is her highest winrate keystone!

I'm surprised too.

I would guess that Lux players are playing a more poke-oriented style rather than a combo-oriented style in which Thunderlord's Decree is less favorable and Deathfire Touch is more favorable.

Looking at her builds on champion.gg, her most popular build and her highest winrate build is item 3165 item 3020 item 3285 item 3089 item 3135 item 3157 , which is a very poke-oriented build.
