What is Plat?

This climb this season was going great. I was getting 27 LP a win before I hit plat, but the second I hit plat I was getting players that refuse to work as a team, Jump into 1v3 or more, start inting off of one thing happening, or supports that tilt and start taking all the adcs cs. I really just don't understand. It's like Bronze and Silver players that never improve are just sitting in plat. Making it so much harder it climb and improve for the players that are trying to do so. The only reason some of them are in plat is because of last season getting to climb with a whole group and carried up there and now they get placed back into it. . But the players are so childish its literally almost impossible sometimes. It's a team game but you can't win a team game when 1 or 2 players are doing nothing but tilting and refusing to group, trolling others or just feeding. Just make it where the loses actually start kicking them out depending on their end score. if its continuous loses start kicking them out. If player climb into it before they can again. But there has to be something that can be done instead of people just saying the same repetitive shit over and over again about how "If you are good enough you can climb still." or "that's the way its always been." Its impossible to improve and get better when A) Norms match making is a fucking joke. B) When you play ranked and try to improve your having to deal with teammates trolling in some way shape or form and they never want to improve and realize what mistakes they are making.

Is anyone else actually having problems or is it just me having some sort of shit luck? I mean I know that posting on here is just pointless since riot doesn't really pay attention to any peons because they don't have enough time for us when the higher players are the focus, and on top of it so many people post on here and its wading through so much shit. But there has to be something that can help improve this shit cause this is literally becoming a problem when I can't have some sort of practice against any body of my skill level and actually feel like I'm improving with one or two lanes feeding or trolling.

I hit plat within a week of reset. I'm still plat 5. Can't seem to get away from it at the moment. It honestly feels like bronze. So many people raging, crying, inting or just otherwise boosted to this Elo.

I myself haven't been playing my best after a couple dozen games in a row of this tbh. Either way. Ya I noticed it the moment I entered plat again.

I'm not plat but I'm inclined to believe you. I've had some people in games who were plat last year do the stupidest stuff and it just boggles me how they got to plat in the first place. The fed Reneketon trying to take an top inhib tower (mid and bot outer still up fyi) while no one is visible on the map, then complains when he gets 5 man ganked saying the team "isn't doing anything" by taking dragon or getting free damage on a tower.

It's like every 5th and 4th division. The "trash" of the respectively league is down there. They almost can't fall down to the league below and can't climb because they only got in the league they're in right now through luck.

Damn. Saw the title and had a really witty remark. Clicked the topic and noticed you actually had a serious question/comment. All that thinking wasted. :(

At every fifth division it feels like people are boosted. People say the same at D5 as well, but while D5 might "feel like silver", it really isn't.

It's all in your head, and if you deserve to climb, you will climb out given enough games. Honestly if your climb is slowing down, it's probably just a sign that your true elo is around there.
