A plea to Riot: Buff boring champions

[NOTE: The following does not apply to Lee Sin, because reasons.]

Like many players, I dread seeing my favorite champions see pro play. When the Gangplank got his rework, I was blown away by how fun it was. Then I was immediately saddened by how good it was in pro play. Same with Darius's and Skarner's (third) rework. It's a terrible feeling to be given something really fun, only to immediately have it ruined because it's too good.

To prevent this problem in the future, I think the best thing would be to buff the really boring, uninteresting champions. Buff , his playstyle isn't that exciting. Buff , he doesn't have any particularly engaging gameplay. Buff , he's a dull draintank. Buff , she's just a point-and-click-win-a-teamfight bot. is incredibly hit-or-miss, but his best case scenario could be buffed quite a bit. Have you considered cancelling the upcoming rework, and just buffing him to unreasonable levels instead?

Maybe think about releasing a few overpowered champions that aren't that fun, but are really good in pro play for entirely numerical reasons.

No one wants their favorite champion to be forever considered pick-or-ban, or subjected to a long series of kassadin-like nerfs that leave them incredibly unsatisfying to play. So please, just make pro play focused around less fun, less interesting champions. It would make the majority of the playerbase much happier.
