It's super hard to balance supports

For they may not need direct nerfs, but instead, being the supports they are have so much utility/revolve around utility that they can be broken, take thresh for example, high pick rate, high win rate. The reason for that is because of how much utility he has in his kit, while I love thresh's design and how nicely his kit ties in with his lore n such, he has way too much utility. Same could go for other supports suck as say; soraka. Soraka can prevent her adc's from dying, a lot, but is she broken? Not sure to be honest, but supports are probably always going to be broken due to the utility they supply. -A braum/support main Your thoughts?

If a support is actually strong as far as champs go, they start to show up in solo lanes and being oppressive because of how much utility they have. Lulu is a common example.

The problem is that they have to be useful without a significant gold income. This means they couldn't be item dependent in the past.

I think the addition of more item actives as well as the flat % healing/shielding increase on items helps.
