Average Silver players and their dogmatic look at the game

"The enemy team is at Dragon? We MUST contest it, because we are honor-bound to fight over everything and at every possible opportunity. Never mind that the enemy inhibitor is exposed and we could take that for free. Teamfighting is much more important."

EDIT: it was only Drag #3 for both teams in the game I'm talking about

If you are already behind, dragon is worthless to you, especially #2. If you already have dragon #1, and it is risky to contest #2, just let it go and kill a turret. When behind, the percent damage increase is useless since it scales off your existing damage. You don't need damage, you need GOLD to get back into the game and to build tanky.

4 is also worthless, except for the fact that dragon 5 is huge. Giving #4 up means that next dragon is going to be a must-contest, which is never good since they can send 1 person to solo dragon while the rest of the team pushes/barons.

Are you sure you aren't talking about gold and all below it? : )

I'm currently Silver, haven't been Gold yet this season and never been Bronze. I can't speak for a division I'm not in.

It was a joke, hence the ": )" at the end

Pretty true for diamond too but generally its correct thinking, its much easier to win a fight at dragon than you think. Its just lower tier players aren't as good at abusing it, especially when behind or tilted.

My line of thought is what's the point of taking a fight which you have say a 50% chance of winning, when you can get the inhibitor with 100% certainty and get out alive.

idk theres definitely pros and cons to each action

More like: +50% of getting something equivalent to 200g for every person (=1000g) while the other team gets zero (0g) +100% chance of getting 50g for ONE person on your team (=50g) while the other team gets (1000g)

First one nets you 50% x 1000g= + 500g. Second one nets you 100% x 50g= 50g while the other team gets 1000g = - 950g.

If you go for the 1st and lose all 5 people in the attempt WITHOUT successfully steal = 50% to get 1000g 50% to lose 5x260 and they still get their 1000g In average, 0.5 x 1000g - 0.5 x (260g+1000g)= - 650g which is still better than the 2nd.

The majority of players in League do not understand the priority of objectives in the game.

The best list I have seen is: Nexus Inhibitor Baron or 5th Dragon Turrets (ones closer to Nexus being higher priority) Dragon Jungle buffs

I would break up the turrets as well as dragons as nexus turret > inhibitor. Also imo first and third drag are worth more than outer turrets

I just find people contesting dragon stupid, because they end up doing 100 damage to Dragon, then taking 500 or so damage from the Dragon Aggro while contesting and they eventually die really quickly.

Always try and steal dragon. Never give a free dragon.

This happens in most games. That'ts why I think drag buff was not a good idea to throw in this game. People think about drag more then the towers or inibs. It just makes you want to cry if 2 inibs are open but no one takes them. Or better yet when you go with the team at drag and they still can't get the buff and get aced. Lol

Thank you! First and only post on here just so I can thank you for acknowledging what everyone in the games I've been in has been to afraid to say for fear of either RP monsters or elite scrubbery!

GGs indeed my friend.

Never gonna post here again.
