Irelia's E Feels Really Clunky

It could be just me, but Irelia's E feels really clunky, like it takes me more than one press of E to get it to work. Making it work "smoother" would help in the flow of combat as the rest of her kit is fluid but trying to Q than E just feels like it doesn't work as smoothly as it should. Anyone else having this problem?

Isn't it an AA modifier? Could that be why?
