What if instead of increased Crit Chance....

.......Yasuo instead got increased crit damage? I'm talking somewhere around 15% - 25% crit damage increase (still stacks with IE). Reasons i'd think this would be better for Yas and the game as a whole:

  • It still preserves his identity as an AD crit building melee carry

  • It still keeps his late game power

  • Eliminates the BS in building 2 items and having 100% crit chance

  • Makes his early and mid game less frustrating to play against

Reasons this would be worse for Yas:

  • Makes his mid game worse due to no more 100% crit powerspike after 2 items

  • Makes him more reliant on crit, and therefor more RNG reliant, making him less consistent until he gets a high crit chance

Thoughts?

Edit: removed the detering bruiser and tank part

That would make his burst that much greater when he does crit, but a lot weaker when he doesn't. I'm not a huge fan of RNG determining trades, so I'd have to be against this.

Edit: This also would have 0 effect on the tank/bruiser builds, as he didn't even build crit in those builds.

I'm struggling to do the math in my head, but what if he CANT crit, but instead his crit chance gives him bonus AD (think jhin with Atk spe->AD)

The only problem I have with this idea is infinity's passive, but then this means yasuo will have AD damage while rushing per attack speed/crit items like shiv, phantom dancer, etc.

idk what the math would look like (comparing damage) so this much be a huge difference that's underwhelming. Just a thought.

That would be weaker than his curreny crit passive, and would therefore do nothing to solve the current bruiser yasup problem.

yea, can't wait for a Ie yasuo to ishot me with AA+Q because he got lucky and did crit on both. RNG-Reliance is a utterly shitty concept, just don't.

And how would it deter from tank/bruiser builts? THey don't use crit anyway, so they profit from neither version of the passive...
