Is Malzahar on the List For the 50+ Champion reworks?

#Skip to the end if you want to see my point. My sister showed me this game back in what I believe was the season one championships. My first champion I played was MonkeyKing, which I now know was the newest champion at the time. In a sad attempt at bot lane, not understanding anything about how to actually get gold via last hitting, it was an interesting mess. When Skarner was first released, I was like whoa dude giant crystal scorpian, tried him a couple of times during his free week, and then gave up because I had no idea what I was doing in the jungle. Keep in mind this was back when there was no such thing as Fizz or Riven . I took a break from League after a couple weeks of bumbling, and then came back to Xerath 's release. This was when I fell in love with mages. I mained Xerath in mid until I knew everything there was to know about the lane, then Volibear came out. Bear that shoots lightning? Yes. I then took up jungling and found out about that, and later picked Skarner back up again.

With that said Skarner 's two reworks have taken away some nostalgic memories playing him. But its incredulous for him as a spam champion right now to have so much mana regeneration from within his zones, and I hope the balancing team realizes this fact sooner rather than later before he's in a weird balance of having to remain in his zones to contribute to the team.

I never grew tired of playing Xerath , very bursty, very long range, but my sister insisted that I should buy a new champion. So once I had gotten another 6300, because I assumed at the time the more expensive they were the better they could be, I looked at Malzahar , the 53rd champion, for the main reason that he was designed by the creator of Xerath, and he looked pretty cool. I hated him. I had no idea what I was doing, and the voidlings would mess up my last hitting, and I was consistently out of mana. I dropped him, immediately regretted buying him, and wanted to refund the IP for another champion. I believed I picked him back up at the start of the second season, and had an epiphany as to how to last hit with him. Since then I only played Xerath or Malzahar in the mid lane for the sheer fact that it was so satisfying when I outplayed assassins in the assassin meta.

#Look here for my point:

Malzahar has always been fun and balanced. The only changes he's received in a while were to his voidling priority overhaul, and along with the mass ultimate cost reductions in season 4. I love the fact that I have a lot of presence to exude outside of my range if I throw malefic visions into a wave, and if you play him long enough, there's more outplay to be had sewing the seeds of death with his e than his ultimate, sometimes you can just utilize your brief suppress if they have item 3140 to get an e from the wave onto them. At this point in time, he's actually in a decent spot thanks to the AP shift. We've even seen him start popping up in low elo ranked matches, but to little success. I know he's not popular and has only been selected in the competitive scene once or twice, but he's a personal favorite of mine. #Are you planning to add to, or completely rework his kit somewhere along the line of these "2.5" years?

  • He is one of the only champions with a silence still left in the champion pool, which is fairly hard to hit if you're new to him
  • He holds a good rep as a tank shredder with his % health w damage, which isn't as rare now days it seems
  • He is one of the only champions with a suppression, along with Warwick, Skarner, and Urgot.
  • He can even go a full 180, build AD, and use all of his spells as utility for his voidlings.

The only thing I feel could possibly be lack luster, would be the fact that his voidlings don't contribute to his AP build. If you're planning to add to Malzahar (key word add) I would like to see something along the lines of adding a scaling somewhere within the voidlings for something that he usually would build, like plausible health or ap to health scaling, or you could even get crazy with it by embracing AD Malzahar and adding on-hit effects to his voidlings. But here's to hoping.
