Top Lane or Mid Lane?

Should I play top lane or mid lane? I am still pretty new but so far I have found that I somewhat enjoy playing both, because I love the 1v1s top lane but at the same time I love being able to play mid lane and be able to roam, and I also feel like mid has more of an impact on the game. I also like team fighting more than split pushing, but at the same time I like top lane early game more than mid game early game. I have been maining top so far, but now I feel like I can't decide, especially because I feel like the top lane champion pool is somewhat boring. Which lane should I play?

Mid lane has the best chance of carrying and has the most agency on the map as far as laners go. It just depends, I suppose, on how much you want to affect the map and your teammates. If you want to sit top and slug it out and be on an island, that's your prerogative too. Top lane is definitely more of a "solo" experience where as Mid is very team oriented and you want to be able to roam and impact the map.
