Do Practice Bots help?

I know that a lot of people say that intermediate bots aren't good practice and won't prepare you for the real thing, but at this point there's so many smurfs that it's either learn against bots or get destroyed by smurfs, which doesn't really help you learn. I'm still pretty new, but I feel like when I play against bots top lane it actually does help me learn to last hit while getting pressured because it's usually 1v2 up there, and they actually do a bit of damage. So here's my question: Is it worth playing bot games until I can go full OP with 0 deaths, or will me getting smacked around in normals actually end up helping in the long run? Also I do tend to play Yasuo so that might be another reason I'm not doing too well, but I really just want to know if bot games are worth playing for top laners that are new.

No, playing vs bots won't teach you anything. Going OP with 0 deaths only teaches you how to abuse the bots and not how to play the game.

If you're still new to the game and don't have basic mechanics down yet then yes bots do help to a certain extent but aside from learning mechanics no it doesn't really do anything. There's a saying that you learn more from a loss then in victory instead of just getting destroyed and just being like "oh this guys a smurf there's no way I'll ever beat him" observe and see what he's doing different and better to cause him to crush you. Another piece of advice my diamond friend who got me into the game gave me when I started "was play the game to learn not to win the wins will eventually follow your biggest opponent every game should be yourself from last game" set small goals for yourself like "I'm going to get so and so cs by 10 minutes this game" or "I'm going to have a kda of 2.0 or better" also if you're trying to improve spend about 70 percent of your time actually playing and the other 30 doing research watch videos and streams and watch your replays to see what youre doing well and doing poorly from more of a third person perspective. Good luck on your climb and I hope this helps

they will help to some extent, but they will also teach you terrible habits. Theyre really only good for the bare basics.

However if youre facing 2v1 tops thats not a very realistic gamestate, and the enemies will be lower level than you making them easy targets (bots tend to run away when their HP is low no matter what the circumstance is)
