Getting Gold Before Pre-Season End ?

Not sure what section this should be in but who around here is a good analyst ? What do you think my chances are of getting Gold before the End of Pre-Season if I just always call mid (sometimes top) with my main of Kennen ? The last few matches, I am not entirely certain if it's due to just dumb luck of getting teams that aren't dying over 40x in the first 10 minutes (like how it was for the first 50 ranked matches of this season), but it really felt like I managed to hard-carry at least a few of those matches. I haven't really changed that much about my play-style over the season other than the idea that I want to try & protect/baby-sit which-ever members of my team can destroy turrets fastest (such to the point that I don't care if I lose my lane because, who cares if my opponent gets my turret, when they can only get one turret in the time that it takes for who-ever I'm guarding to be able to get two).

Will it be faster if I just continue to solo it or could it be faster with a duo ?
