Is it just me. Or will this make :

Late game scaling ADC more over powered: (Kogmaw, Tristana, etc. )

Late game mages really powerful: (Viktor, Cassiopeia, Veigar etc. )

Mostly All Supports, but benefits AP mostly(Bard, Sona,etc. )

This is because supports have huge ap scaling, but get no gold, and the gold they do get, goes into support items.

Top Lane and Jungle late game champs: (Nasus, Master Yi, etc.)

So in total shouldn't this be a high ranked rune for the awesome benefits? THis rune is even good on tanks. When they get a bunch of ap/ad for free. I think this is an awesome rune, it just needs to be 1 of the 3 main runes.

It's relatively weak early ish and only gets kinda crazy at 40+ minutes, by which point games tend to be decided. It (along with a few other runes with uncapped growth) is one of those things that appeals to late game power fantasies, but I suspect in actual practice most of the scaling will be too slow to be super dominant, similar to how nasus/veigar/thresh/etc aren't all unstoppable must pick one shot gods. Those champs and those runes eventually might get there, but the game needs to not end before then whcih is far from guaranteed.

It does get insane, and Riot's said they'll have to keep a close eye on it for that reason, but I think it could work out.

As a secondary path, there are choices that are stronger earlier or offer more utility.

As a primary path, you trade stronger roams for late game power (Scorch looks like a joke right now, so I'm ignoring it). That early game advantage for your team could end the game before Gathering Storm kicks in.

Who? Most supports I know of have low AP scalings, but high early game base numbers. There are a few "supports" that have good scalings, but thats because they are/were designed as Mages first and only later became "Supports". Blitzcrank is the only support that comes to mind that has 100% scaling on his ult (and maybe his Q? I could be wrong; and also if i remember correctly he wasn't designed as a Support champ).
