Promotion Series

When I got placed this season, I was placed in Bronze 1. From Gold 5 of last season. I started playing and had high MMR, skipped promos to Silver 5. I then climbed silver 5, and skipped promos and got instantly put in silver 3. Then had unlucky day there and got 3 defeats in a row. Now got to promos, have to do them again. Lost both games because of lanes going 1-12.

The bottom line is that, having experienced the game WITHOUT promo series I find that it feels much better and more rewarding. I feel promos in the same tier are just a useless arbitrary restriction that makes you waste tons of time and stress out where it really would just be better if once you went over a division you were just done with it. And what is the deal with the fact that after losing a promo series you lose your points accordingly, but after winning them you start with 0 LP?

Promo series are very frustrating. And matchmaking seems to give you more feederes in promos then ever. I could do a statistic study about it. Pretty sure that IS a thing.
