the game is so early game centric that you need an early game duelist if you wanna be relevant.

like I feel she is just pointless in the game now

Idk how she actually feels in this meta but Nidalee has historically always been a buff -> gank nonstop champion. Figure this meta doesn't change that too much.

At least she isn't a "farm til 6" jungler.

Couldn't have been further from the truth. What you've described is Xin Zhao. Nidalee has always been a "take your own camps and then arrive at the opponents camp earlier" champion. She wins by outpacing and outpressuring the enemy jungler. She has ALWAYS been focused on farming and counterjungling.

I don't play her but in my experience playing against her she always was just nonstop ganking all lanes.

I'm sure she also has the playstyle of bullying weaker early junglers.
