Maining support this season got me from gold 4 to silver 3. Majority of games winning lane but losing game. Back to laning I guess.

I'm stuck in Bronze 1 supporting. Majority playing Naut and Taric. However, I got to B2 from B5 playing Nasus and Yorick, only switching to support to get to B1. I'm considering going back to laning as well cause B1 is a new hell. Keep getting matched with shitty S5 players who should've been placed much much lower.

Yeay for Tarric.

I know the feeling. Two games ago, 5/5/10 with Taric. (and no those weren't KS, those were dives I made because my team runs while invulnerable.) Out did my ADC who was 2/2/5. Next game get someone who doesn't adc, wind up 2/10/11. But hey could've done worse, the Rengar was 1/10/11 (no ganks!)

Anyway long story short no one aims the stun when you stun off of your teammates, and they all run out of your invuln circle... Can't fix stupid.

That sounds like you're poor at supporting outside of laning phase. Which isn't to say there aren't games you can't win due to teammates, but if you are a gold level support, then on average you'll trend upwards to gold, but if you're a silver level support, you'll trend downwards. I say this as someone who solo supported from low silver up to high plat last season (and solo supported to diamond in flex this season but flex is kinda a joke), so it's not that support is any worse than other roles.

This should be expected though, as most people aren't at the same skill level at all roles. My border might say I'm a plat player, but I'm probably only gold-ish skill level at mid/top, and probably even only silver if made to jungle. Sure theres a lot of situational awareness and game knowledge that is role independent, but theres still a lot of role specific stuff that really only comes from experience in that role.
