Tank Supports Dominating Bot Lane

Tanks have overtaken the bot lane dominance and is frustating as a Support main to try other mages supports (Im fine playing nautilus, leona though)

Tanks not only have cc, and high resistances which is fine, but they SHOULDNT have that HIGH damage [sg-ahri-3]

Just by example worlds 2019 Pick rate Rakan 36 Nautilus 38 Thresh 29 Leona 14 Alistar 10 Blitzcrank 8

Exception Pyke 10 Yuumi 10 Morgana 8 Karma 4

Champions like Nami 0 Soraka 0 Lulu 0 Lux 0 Sona 0 Janna 0 Bard 0 Brand 0 Zyra 0 Zilean 0

They die if just a tank hooks and engages on them taking almost all HP, doesnt this tells something to riot to currently look at the damage that naut, leona etc have at the moment?

Rakan, Nautilus, Thresh, and Blitzcrank are not tank supports.

Dunno about others because i didn't watch most games

But yeah, gotta agree with you. Tank supports are annoying af I highly dislike playing with melee champs, so i can't really even try to match the meta I'm just here with my Lulu and Nami (Among other enchanters)

It's not fun when you have 800 HP and a full combo with ignite/Aftershock from a tank support does 600 damage?

They're picked because tank supports usually shine the most in a coordinated enviroment. Unless they're dogshit, tanks with teamfight potential will always be picked at worlds. And their kill potential (cc-locking some1 to death) is why they are okay in SoloQ.

And its kinda funny that you pointed you that enchanters aint played on bot at all, since we all know who was the biggest offender during the Ardent meta (spoiler alert: it were enchanters).

As a supp main idgaf what supports are meta, but you guys cant make up your mind- do you want tank supp meta, which relies on high kill and teamfight potential, or you want enchanter supp meta, which is basically bot lane wins laning phase = bot lane wins the game?

Tanks in general are in a bad state.

What you're likely referring to is more so their engage/lockdown. Thresh isn't a tank nor is Rakan .

Let's be honest, hook supports have BS hitboxes. Nautilus 's hook takes up half the lane even though the animation does not. However, we can say the same about your precious Morgana 's Q you dirty mage support mains.

Just kidding...mostly, but yeah supports with hard engage like Nautilus and Leona are all crazy strong bot lane. They just happen to also be tanks. Tanks like Braum are not strong right now and picking them is almost like trolling with how fast bot lane gets called.

Most importantly though, professional play is not the same as solo queue. The pro's still despise Yuumi and it's because her kit is fundamentally broken. It's just not strong in a solo queue environment anymore after the nerfs (thank god). The game that they're playing is different from ours.

Rakan isn't a tank, and Worlds is not soloQ, otherwise Bronze would be dominated by Shen.
