Edge of night makes the role useless. Ive mained janna for the past 3 years but this season there is no point of playing support. It used to be fun to deny the enemy a kill but now they just pop eon and kill the ADC regardless of how well I peel. It's so disgusting to play against 3 champs in every game with that item. Guess I have to switch roles and go back to mid or jungle cus support is useless against that broken azz item.
I wanna downvote because you complain about Janna having counterplay, but I also want to upvote because EoN is bullshit for ANYBODY that isn't building it.
Hard choice
I get what you mean. I'm a Soraka main and the meta isn't looking pretty for me either. Win rates don't always reflect that.
ADCs are so easy to kill, which would be fine since they should be, but items like Edge of Night make it so difficult to defend your carry. You have to be pretty behind or unlucky to mess up with that item. I've been even seeing tanks get that item.
On top of that, lethality is broken and Jungler pressure is too extreme right now. All of these add up to a very hard time bot lane.
Before I could deal with high damage supports like Zyra and Brand, but lately that's almost all I see besides a Thresh here and there. I understand why. They can't really defend their carry, so their only hope is to use their damage to try to kill the Edge of Night user. They have a better chance of saving their teammate that way, and at least they will have a higher chance of killing that champion just after their carry is killed with that BS item.
I'm still doing fine. I climb, and I maintain a positive KDA, but it is so painful to do so. It's much easier to play another role or take a AP building support bot lane.

What kind of stuff do riot designers smoke? Seriously, it's amazing that someone can design an aberration like that and still can make his life by designing games. I saw a monkey in a zoo that 100% could design healthier items.
