Just played zilean

and it wouldnt let me purchase zhonyas after I had all components + sufficient gold. I recalled 3 or 4 times and then finally died and it would only then let me purchase. Then I bought 2 large rods and wasn't able to combine into deathcap but I didn't die the rest of the game so I never could purchase.
