Don't you honestly want the balance team to be, "unprofessional?"

Sejuani nerfs because progame, urgot pending balance due to progames, sudden lucian buffs due to progames, lee sin buffs due to progames...

The lists are endless. I do not watch other video game nerds play, (aside from a few people that I follow) while I rake myself up soloque. There are legit few MONTHS I will actively lose when I go soloque because of progames. And since I have a certain playstyle, ALL my champs that supports said playstyle will be effectively unplayable. I can't stand this.

While you may not watch pro play, a ton of other people do and it makes no sense to ignore pro play. As long as the balance team isn't making anyone overpowered for solo q, I don't see a reason against keeping a few underpowered to keep pro play entertaining.

I believed that Riot's "competitive" scene meta was created around amateur environments that pros selected for their picks. Now it looks as if Riot caters pros so they can pick whatever, and the amateur scene picks up the scraps of what they can play.

Which is better for the game?

Probably focus on pro play diversity. As long as nothing is made overpowered. People will always find a way to play underpowered champions in solo q.

You do know there was literally never a diverse pro environment do you? Well, for the last 3 years it has been Ryze and Ryze on top of Ryze in midlane and anyway...

Still better to aim for it. Balance at any level will never be perfect.
