Or you could ask if you could pick it for him? You know, there's this thing called "communication" that people here on Boards say it's absent in their games but they actually don't even bother doing it themselves because they would rather look hypocrites instead.

I try to (Don't ALWAYS remember to) inform my teammates that I have unlocked every champion (At this time of writing) in the game and am more than willing to lock in their intended pick if they are afraid it will get stolen by the enemy team, provided I am early enough in the selection phase to do so.

I mean if I see Yasuo I'm almost tempted to ban honestly if it doesn't fit my team comp. Yasuo mid means some other role needs to fill AP and we need to worry about having knock ups, and most likely deal with someone toxic who is more needy than an ADC. It's just easier to ban and then say it's an accident.
